Perfect for a cycling holiday: starting from the Ohlenforst, you can enjoy the Heinsberger Land cycling region to the fullest. Well-established cycle paths in Germany’s westernmost district take you to many fantastic destinations – on both sides of the border. The Netherlands is only a few metres away. Roermond, for example, is just over an hour away by bike. Or use the Ohlenforst as a base to discover the picturesque town of Wassenberg, with its castle, culinary events and beautiful forests. You will find award-winning cycling and hiking trails right around our hotel – including the RurUfer cycle path, which takes you from the Eifel to Roermond.
