The Ohlenforst—our restaurant in Wassenberg-Effeld—has been welcoming guests from near and far for about 200 years. What began as a farm with a tavern and its own brewery is now a restaurant known far beyond the state’s borders, which we are now running in its third generation. Located in the heart of the idyllic village of Effeld, we offer traditional, home-style cuisine, prepared for you by our team with the highest standards and expert culinary skill. Enjoyment in a Beautiful Setting
The Ohlenforst can accommodate up to 150 people to enjoy our food and drinks in a beautiful setting. However, the restaurant can be divided into sections if needed. Larger groups, company parties, or receptions will find the Ohlenforst to be a cozy, well-appointed venue where wonderful celebrations can take place. On warm summer days, we open our garden for you. Whether you’d like to wind down the day with a cool drink after a bike ride or enjoy our summer dishes or ice cream creations under trees and grapevines, our garden is the perfect spot. Last but not least, our “Stübchen” seats around 30 people—just right for smaller corporate or family gatherings.
